Dream Diary: The Glass Cathedral

Two days ago, I dreamt about a Glass Cathedral. It was well-lit and glowing from the inside. I was forever on this cement road going towards it, but I never seem to get there. The view always stays the same, I always remain a hundred yards away from it. I could see these frozen bodies of Catholic saints being paraded inside, a pilgrimage that went on and on and on. I used to be religious in my youth because I grew up in this repressive Catholic community. I still have my faith, but I'm not this religious nut that does everything by the book, fire and brimstone, et. al.

But that's the only thing I remember about the dream, how beautiful and golden and glowing this fragile glass cathedral was.

Dreaming about Toilets: Flushing out your Subconscious

Ah! toilet dreams - sometimes these come down to a science. Maybe you are holding out your bladder and bowels long enough that its now bothering your sleep. Such physical needs can find their way into our dreams just to remind us what we need to do for our physical bodies. Now if all these flying toilets, bathroom fixtures and latrine scenarios still creep up on you then seeing a toilet in your dreams has a pure symbolic meaning - in essence a cleansing is in order. A cleansing of the spirit, removal of impure thoughts or a change in behavior or lifestyle is needed. Perhaps you have been living with guilt or a burden of shame that you now need to unload. Your mind is obviously very weary from too much thinking, it needs to expel this mental poison. And so you must! 

Dreaming of being on Top a High Building

Do you dream looking down from a very tall place like a skyscraper? Do you find yourself on top of a building?



Then the dream connotes several hidden messages:

• You are an elitist. You like looking down at people, micro-managing from the top of your perch.
• You like feeling isolated from the crowd. Having an aerial view gives you a great sense of power and control of people you think are beneath you.
• You have your head in the clouds. You have lofty dreams and you are very internal and engaged in your thoughts most of the time. For other people, it may seem you are out of touch with reality.
• You have this deep-seated fear of heights and the dream may turn into a nightmare once you find yourself falling down.

A Dream about an Egg: How Egg-citing!

To dream of an egg is a sign that something new and different will come your way.

Egg dreams are symbolic of new ideas coming into being or even new skills. 

But like any fragile seed, you must nurture this with love and care for it to hatch meaning you must take the time to develop and nurture your self - may it be your self-esteem, self worth or your inner potential. This egg can lead you further towards the fulfillment of your dreams, so make sure you burst out of your shell and really explore what the world has to offer.

Dreams about Hats: What's on your head?

Take it off and put another one on! Just how many hats do you have?

Dreaming of hats connotes your desired role in life. In your dream, what hat was on your head? Was it a top hat? a trucker's hat? a baseball cap? Is that hat yours? Who owns the hat?

If you are dreaming of coveting someone's hat, you have that desire to be intimate with that hat owner.

A change of hat may also mean a change in your way of thinking or life philosophy.

Dreaming about the Police

What ya gonna do if the cops come for you?

Dreaming about the Police or authority figures chasing after you or even cuffing you in front of everyone you know represents a deep-seated fear of being humiliated. You are obviously feeling guilty about something that you've hidden it from everyone you loved and the "Policeman" signifies the possibility of being caught red-handed with that awful secret.

Relax, secrets can be suffocating that even our subconscious may think we have committed a crime. How much of your internal monologue is consumed by guilt? Think about it. It could be just magnified by your own thoughts, but this secret whatever it is may not be so bad as you think. You are doing yourself a great injustice by being imprisoned by this guilt. So let it go, if you let someone you hold in high regard down with disappointment, learn to live with it and be easy on yourself.

A Dream about Eyes: Outta Mind, Outta Sight

An Eye Dream or Dreaming about Eyes means you must pay close attention to certain details of your life. There is something worth seeing beneath the surface of things. Come take a look, take a closer inspection- this could mean your feelings or it could mean someone close to you is exhibiting some strange behavior.

You may have not noticed that a loved one has been particularly jumpy lately, but obviously your body is picking up on her body signals of which you've missed and could not plainly see. Maybe something's troubling her or maybe there's something going on that you need to know. A dream of about eyes mean to warn you, make sure you don't get blindsided. Do not turn a blind eye to this, take heed with your Eye Dream.
